About Tara

Sports Massage, Dry Cupping & Massage in Pregnancy

Hi there! After an incredible career in the ambulance service and raising my two wonderful boys, I discovered my passion for sports massage. I qualified as a Level 3 ITEC Sports Massage Therapist in 2019 and took my skills to the next level with a Level 4 ITEC Sports Massage and Soft Tissue Therapy qualification in 2021.

The opportunity to help people is what gets me out of bed in the morning! I believe in treating every client with warmth and real attention to detail. The human body fascinates me – it’s like an incredible machine, and I love figuring out how to not just treat the symptoms, but get to the root cause of what’s causing discomfort. I take time with each of my clients because everyone’s needs are different, and I want to make sure my treatments really hit the mark.

As a keen runner and OCR enthusiast myself, my love for sports massage actually kicked off after I competed in Spartan Races and made it to the European OCR Championships in Holland in 2018 – what an experience that was! Since then, I’ve had the privilege of supporting athletes at Ultra X events across the country, providing pre- and post-event massages.

I’m always looking to expand my knowledge and skills through CPD courses. My toolkit now includes Dry Cupping, Massage in Pregnancy, and Taping and Strapping for Athletes. Next up on my professional journey? I’m working towards my Personal Trainer qualification to help my clients even more with their rehabilitation exercises.

When I’m not treating clients, you’ll probably find me training for my next competition! Being an athlete myself helps me really understand what my clients go through – I’ve been there, felt those aches and pains, and know exactly how to help get them back to peak performance.
