About Mummy MOT

The Mummy MOT is a postnatal check-up designed to help mums recover after childbirth. Done by a specialist women’s health physiotherapist, this in-depth assessment looks at how your abdominal and pelvic floor muscles are functioning and helps address any issues from pregnancy or birth.

What’s Included?

  • Posture Check: Pregnancy and childcare can take a toll on your posture—this helps spot any imbalances or tension.
  • Pelvic Floor Assessment: Checking strength and function to catch any weaknesses that might cause incontinence or prolapse.
  • Abdominal Muscle Check: Looking for abdominal separation (diastasis recti) and giving you a plan to help it heal.
  • Breathing Review: Ensuring you’re using proper breathing techniques to support core strength.
  • Personalized Recovery Plan: A tailored exercise program to rebuild core strength, improve posture, and get you feeling your best.

The Mummy MOT is great for mums at any stage after birth—whether you’re six weeks or a few years postpartum. Taking the time to check in on your recovery can help prevent long-term issues and get you back to feeling strong and confident.

It’s all about giving your body the care it deserves so you can move, exercise, and enjoy motherhood without discomfort.
